Privacy Policy

Cyclisity and TCOYF Applications LLC Privacy policy

TCOYF Applications (“we”) are committed to ensuring the highest standards of data privacy and security within the Cyclisity mobile application (“the app”).

In this privacy policy, we seek to clearly explain how the Cyclisity app handles your charting data.

In summary, we believe your data is your own, and thus we do not sell and will never sell any of your personal data to any third parties for commercial use. Any charting data if stored on servers is stored securely and protected. As of the launch of our app, users may choose to store their data solely on their own local device, in which case loss of the device will lose their data, or to store their data using secure servers (for iOS users, this means Apple's own iCloud servers). We do not have access to data stored in iCloud or stored locally on your device. However, it is possible in the future we may ask users if they would like to voluntarily submit de-identified, randomized, aggregated data to us solely for the purpose of our partnering with women's health researchers to perform scientific research to improve the fertility awareness method and help more women, or potentially to run a clinical trial. Any such voluntary data sharing, if performed, will be done such that any attempt to correlate any data with any particular user would be impossible. We also provide a feature within the app for women to quickly and irreversibly delete their data if so desired. We hope that our users will agree that voluntarily contributing their de-identified data to scientific research, in order to help more women in the future, while ensuring that their data can never be traced back to them, is a worthwhile and low-risk endeavor. If any users still feel uncomfortable with such an approach, they are welcome to choose not to volunteer their data, or to use a different product.

Please note that this means we may not always be able to assist with data recovery if your device is ever lost, stolen or broken. You can export a copy of your charting data at any time if desired, or backup or continuously sync with iCloud to ensure data can be saved if you lose or upgrade your device.

Please take the time to read this policy carefully so that you can make an informed decision about your use of the app. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at support@cyclisity.com.

1) Who we are

The app owner and data controller is TCOYF Applications LLC.

Our goal is to provide tools to help women better understand their ovulatory and menstrual cycles, practice FAM, and learn more about their bodies in general.

Registered address: P.O. BOX 31172, Seattle, WA 98103

Data protection officer: Max Nowicki, support@cyclisity.com

2) Data that we collect

As of the launch of our App, Cyclisity is only available on iOS via the App Store (we will be launching on Android via the Google Play Store soon). When a new user creates an account, their account is tied to their Apple ID associated with their device.

Because users may choose to enter personally sensitive charting data into the app including menstruation, cervical fluid, and temperature data, etc., users must choose when creating their account if they would like to store their data only locally on their device, or if they would like to continuously sync their device to the cloud. If a user chooses to only store their data locally, if the device gets lost, stolen or broken, then we may be unable to directly assist with data recovery. If a user decides to continuously sync their device to the cloud, the data is stored securely in Apple's own iCloud. In this way, we at Cyclisity do not even have access to your data, because it is either on your own device only, or on your device and in Apple's secure iCloud.

Users may also choose to export a copy of their charting data at any time in order to create a manual backup for safekeeping.

We do have access to standard install analytics via the App Store. This includes an overview of device types and operating systems (e.g. iPhone 16, iOS 18.1, etc). It also includes crash information if users choose to submit this.

3) Third party services

In the future, it is possible we may ask users if they would like to volunteer to share de-identified, anonymized, aggregated data and/or analyses to third parties including women's health scientific researchers, clinical trial investigators and the US FDA, for the purposes of advancing women's health scientific knowledge, or to pursue a clinical trial. In no case will your personally identifiable data be shared, and if you refuse to volunteer then your data would not be shared.

As stated above, as of the launch of our app, users may choose to store their data solely on their own local device, in which case loss of the device will lose their data, or to continuously sync their data to Apple's own iCloud servers, in which case the data can be transferred to a new device if the current device is lost or broken.

3) Data that we use / share with third parties

We do not sell and will never sell any data to third parties for commercial use (i.e. for targeted ads, marketing, etc.).

The only user data we may potentially share would be completely voluntary. It is possible in the future that we may ask users if they would like to volunteer to submit randomized, de-identified, aggregated data to us in order for us to provide this data to scientific researchers working in women's health or to potentially pursue a clinical trial. Although we absolutely believe your data is your own and you have sovereignty over it, we do believe that providing randomized, de-identified, aggregated data that can never be traced back to you, to carefully chosen researchers to advance the science of fertility is a low-risk way to improved the scientific knowledge in women's health for all women, and is a nice thing to do. Again, no one that ever sees such voluntarily-submitted aggregated data would ever be able to tie it back to you, and if you decide not to participate, then your data would never be touched.

Standard install and performance data are reviewed by TCOYF Applications and our app developers in order to inform crash fixes and make improvements to the app.

4) Device permissions

The app may request access or permissions to certain features in the user’s device including storage (for data import / export), for alerts, reminders and notifications, exporting to PDF or CSV, connecting to wireless thermometers such as Tempdrop, or sending a feedback email using the default email on your device. If the user wishes to change the app’s access or permissions, they may do so in their device’s settings at any time.

5) Data exported by the user

Charting data entered into the app may be exported (in the form of a PDF or CSV) by the user to a number of destinations via their device’s system share settings. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that other people do not gain access to their device and these export functions within the app.

6) Data pulled from third party applications

The app may include an optional Tempdrop integration feature. This allows the user to pull basal body temperature data from the Tempdrop app associated with the Tempdrop wearable thermometer.

The app does not request data from the Tempdrop app without the user’s permission. After the user grants permission to connect their Tempdrop account via the app’s Tempdrop integration settings screen, the app requests basal body temperature data from the Tempdrop app only when instructed by the user via the app’s data or Tempdrop integration settings screen. Permission can be revoked by the user at any time by selecting the option to disconnect their Tempdrop account in the app’s Tempdrop integration settings screen.

Basal body temperature data pulled from the Tempdrop app is stored in the same way as all other data entered into the app: potentially both on the users devices and if the user chooses to do so, on Apple's secure iCloud servers.

7) User communications

Users may sign up for email communications about new app features and other developments via our website or when they register inside the app.

8) Your rights

You may exercise your rights to request information on your data that is processed by us and lodge a complaint with the relevant supervising authority if you believe that we are processing your personal data under violation of applicable data protection regulations. Cyclisity also provides a feature within the app to irreversibly delete all your account data, if you so choose.

9) Deleting your data

Within the app there is an option for you the user to immediately delete all your data. This is not a “deletion” where backup data still remains somewhere in a server. This is complete and full deletion of your data from your device and all relevant servers, and is irreversible.

10) Giving and withdrawing your consent

By accepting this privacy policy and using the app, you explicitly consent to the handling of your data as per the terms of this policy and the liability release stated in the Terms of Service. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the app from your device.

11) Updates to this policy

We reserve the right to amend this policy to reflect any changes in the law or the rollout of new app features. Whenever we do this we will notify users in advance inside the app highlighting the changes. Your continued use of the app following any change in the privacy policy represents your consent to the updated privacy policy. We encourage you to review this privacy policy regularly to check for any changes.

12) Young users

The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly handle data of people under the age of 18 years. By accepting this policy and using the app you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old.
